Panthers sign Demers to 5-year, $22.5M deal
Jason Demers has signed a five-year, $22.5 million contract with the Florida Panthers. The 27-year-old defenceman scored seven goals and 23 points in 62 games with the Dallas Stars this past season.

Jason Demers has signed a five-year, $22.5 million contract with the Florida Panthers.
The 27-year-old defenceman scored seven goals and 23 points in 62 games with the Dallas Stars this past season. He added three assists in 13 games as the Stars fell to the St. Louis Blues in the second round of the Western Conference playoffs
The Dorval, Quebec native is coming off a two-year, $6.8-million deal signed in 2014.
Demers was a seventh-round pick (186th overall) of the San Jose Sharks in 2008 and has tallied 28 goals and 143 points in 423 games with the Sharks and Stars.
