Anaheim Ducks forward was in a walking book Monday after sustaining what Ducks coach Randy Carlyle called a lower-body injury in the team’s 6-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers Sunday.

Eaves played only three shifts in the third period of Game 3, and wasn’t on the ice for the final eight and a half minutes of the Ducks loss. The walking boot was on Eaves’ right foot. Carlyle said the team has evaluated Eaves’ injury but declined to disclose the results.

The 33-year-old right winger has been productive for the Ducks this postseason, recording two goals and four points in seven games.

The Ducks acquired Eaves from the Dallas Stars this season. Should the Ducks win their second round series with the Oilers, and if Eaves plays in at least half Anaheim’s games the first two rounds, the conditional second-round pick the Ducks sent to the Stars in the trade becomes a first-round pick.

The Oilers lead the second round series 2-1.
