Ryan Kesler appears to be enjoying his first season with the Anaheim Ducks and may want to stick around a little while longer.

The 30-year-old hinted at the possibility of signing an extension when he spoke to TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun ahead of Anaheim's clash with the Los Angeles Kings Wednesday night.

"The way the team is made up, how young and how good a contender this team is, yeah, I love it here," Kesler said. "That would be the perfect situation, yes."

Kesler's current deal has an average annual value of $5 million and expires at the end of next season.

He has three goals and eight assists in 16 games this season after being traded to California in the off-season by the Vancouver Canucks.
