Ducks' Getzlaf to have appendectomy
The Anaheim Ducks will be without captain Ryan Getzlaf tonight and for the next four to 12 days due to appendicitis. Getzlaf has returned home to have a non-emergency appendectomy.

The Anaheim Ducks will be without captain Ryan Getzlaf tonight and for the next four to 12 days due to appendicitis.
Getzlaf, who has been suffering through discomfort over the last six weeks, has returned home to have a non-emergency appendectomy, which has been scheduled to take place on Wednesday in Orange County.
