The Calgary Flames are going back to goaltender Brian Elliott for their must-win Game 4 against the Anaheim Ducks.

Flames head coach Glen Gulutzan confirmed the news after the team's skate Wednesday morning. Elliott was the first goaltender off the ice, but was followed closely by backup Chad Johnson.

The Flames are facing elimination, down 3-0 to the Ducks in their first round playoff series, and Elliott is coming off a tough Game 3, allowing five goals on 27 shots in the Flames' 5-4 overtime loss to the Ducks.

For the series, Elliott has a 3.67 goals against average and .887 save percentage.

Elliott traded the starting job Johnson for more than half the season. In the end, he outstarted Johnson 49-36. The two posted identical .910 save percentage, while Elliott held the slight advantage in goals against average at 2.55 to Johnson's 2.59.

Johnson recently recovered from a groin injury, leaving Jon Gillies to serve as Elliott's backup in the first three games.

The Flames will however make some lineup changes ahead of Game 4.

Forwards Curtis Lazar and Freddie Hamilton will draw into the lineup, taking the spots of Matt Stajan and Lance Bouma.

Bouma and Stajan have zero points combined in the Flames' first three games of the series. It would be the first games for both Lazar and Hamilton.
