Philadelphia, PA - The Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday extended the contract of center Ryan White for one year.

According to TSN's Frank Seravalli, the deal is one-way and is worth $800,000.

White was limited to 34 games with the club last season, after signing a one- year, two-way deal in August. He suffered a torn left pectoral muscle during offseason training and was out of action for almost five months.

Nonetheless, after making his Philly debut in late January, he managed to record career-highs in goals (6), assists (6) and points.

In 175 career games over parts of six seasons with the Habs and Flyers, the Manitoba native has racked up 29 points (11G, 18A) and 262 penalty minutes.
