Gilles Tremblay, a former NHL broadcaster and Stanley Cup winning winger with the Montreal Canadiens in the 1960s, passed away on Wednesday at the age of 75.

A Stanley Cup champion with the Canadiens in 1966 and 1968, Tremblay later joined the incomparable René Lecavalier in the broadcast booth for 'La Soirée du Hockey' on Saturday nights.

In 2002, Tremblay was honoured in the Hockey Hall of Fame's media wing with the Foster Hewitt Award for his 27 years of work behind the microphone.
