The Tampa Bay Lightning signed forward Cory Conacher to a one-year, $575,000 contract on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old scored 22 goals and added 30 assists over 48 games with Bern SC of the Swiss-A league in 2015-16. Bern won the league title last year.

He last played in the NHL with the New York Islanders in 2014-15, scoring one goal and two assists over 15 games. Conacher's best season as a pro came in his rookie campaign (2012-13) when he tallied nine goals and 15 helpers with the Bolts.  He has 19 goals and 39 assists over 141 career NHL games with the Lightning, Ottawa Senators, Buffalo Sabres and Islanders.

Conacher was never drafted and got his start in the NHL when he signed a free-agent contract with Tampa in 2012.
