Hull City is the latest team showing interest in Toronto FC striker Jermain Defoe.

After defeating Everton on New Year's Day, Hull manager Steve Bruce told media that Defoe would be a transfer target, although it may be too expensive.

"Whether we can do it financially is a problem. But if he's available, which I believe he is, then we’d love to do something," Bruce told the Yorkshire Post.

Queens Park Rangers are also reportedly interested in the English striker, but the price tag might be too expensive for them as well.

"Jermain, again as I've said, it's the whole package .... to pay a transfer fee and then pay the wages and everything would be too expensive for us at the moment," said Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp on Wednesday. "So that is the problem, the package wouldn't be within our budget."
