San Jose Sharks
Head coach Pete DeBoer listed both Joe Thornton and Logan Couture as day-to-day and gave no timetable for their return to action. Thornton suffered a lower-body injury Sunday against the Vancouver Canucks when he crashed into Michael Chaput while Couture lost multiple teeth when a puck hit him in the face during a game on March 25. On Tuesday, he said there were no lingering head issues, but has no idea when he'll be ready to play. - Curtis Pashelka, Bay Area News Group
Philadelphia Flyers
The club called up defenceman Sam Morin from the American Hockey League Tuesday morning and will make his NHL debut against the New Jersey Devils. Morin was selected by the Flyers 11th overall in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, but has yet to play in a NHL game. The 21-year-old has three goals and 12 assists over 68 games with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms this season. Forward Mike Vecchione, a recently signed college free-agent, will also make his NHL debut Tuesday. The Flyers have been eliminated from the playoffs. Tampa Bay Lightning
Canadian goalie prospect Connor Ingram has signed an amateur tryout with the AHL affiliate of the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Syracuse Crunch. The 20-year-old, who was selected by the Bolts in the third round of the 2016 Draft, has played with the Kamloops Blazers of the Western Hockey League for the past four seasons and was part of Team Canada at the world junior championship earlier this year. - Bob McKenzie, TSN
