The Los Angeles Kings issued a medical update on a quartet of players on Tuesday, including Marian Gaborik, who the team says might not be ready for training camp in the fall.

Gaborik, 35, appeared in only 56 games this past season with what the team calls a "chronic issue" in his left knee. The three-time All-Star winger underwent a procedure on that knee and the club isn't sure he'll be healthy enough for camp in September.

The native of Trencin, Slovakia had 10 goals and 11 assists this year. Gaborik has four years remaining on his current contract with an average annual value of $4.875 million.

Centre Tyler Toffoli, 25, also underwent a procedure on his left knee, one the team calls "minor." He will be ready for camp.

In 63 games last season, the Scarborough, Ontario native notched 16 goals and 18 assists.

Derek Forbort was the third King to undergo a left knee procedure and is also expected to be ready for training camp.

A rookie from Duluth, Minnesota, Forbort appeared in all 82 games this season, tallying two goals and 16 assists.

Forbort's fellow blueliner, Alec Martinez, underwent a minor groin procedure. Martinez is also expected to be ready for camp.

A native of Rochester Hills, Michigan, Martinez appeared in all 82 games for the Kings this season, his eighth in the NHL. He had nine goals and a career-high 39 points.
