Check out TSN's Mark Masters gameday notes, as the Toronto Maple Leafs get set to begin the second half of their season against the Boston Bruins Tuesday night.

- Defenceman Frank Corrado took a puck to the face during a morning skate session at TD Garden. He returned near the end of the session, but was not available to the media afterwards as he was receiving treatment. He will be in the lineup tonight.

- James Reimer will play the 200th game of his career Tuesday night. "Obviously, it's the best league in the world and it's a tough thing to do," Reimer said. "It's a tough sport, lots of people are vying for your job, so it's been a fun ride so far and hopefully I can go for a couple hundred more."

- Defenceman Jake Gardiner once again lined up in the slot during power play drills Tuesday morning. Gardiner, who was used in the same capacity against the Tampa Bay Lightning before the break, called the move "an unexpected change," but is excited about it. "Basically try and open up the ice for other guys, when they're in trouble be an outlet, a real quick outlet pass and hopefully get some tips when 'Neuf shoots it." He has never been the man in the middle on the power play before. It's definitely an adjustment," Gardiner said. "I'm not used to it, obviously playing on the blue line most of the time, and it's a little difficult right away, but hopefully I'll get used to it."

- The Leafs power play is 0/26 over the past nine games. "The thing about your power play, as much as it helps you win games, it gives your best players confidence to score and then it carries over to five-on-five play," head coach Mike Babcock explained. "When you're squeezing it a little bit as we have the last little while and it hasn't gone in (it can be tough). We understand that we're going to score. We understand we're going to get through it. Just when?"

- Joffrey Lupul once again skated with Rich Clune and Byron Froese.

- Babcock spoke about his comments from Monday when he noted players on the Marlies were pushing for a look with the big club. Babcock said he would never use that as motivation during internal discussions. "That's not what I'm trying to do at all," he said. "I'm not threatening anybody with their job. They're big boys, they can read the paper, they know who's coming."

- The Bruins have won all three previous meetings against the Leafs this season.
