The Toronto Maple Leafs signed free agent goaltender Jhonas Enroth to a one-year deal worth $750,000.

Rumours had been swirling around Enroth and the Leafs since free agency opened in July, but the team made the signing official on Monday.

The 28-year-old started 16 games for the Los Angeles Kings last year, amassing a 7-5-1 record with a .922 save percentage and 2.17 goals against average.

In 147 career NHL games with the Sabres, Stars and Kings, the Sweden native has a record of 50-66-15 with a 2.80 GAA and a .911 save percentage.

Enroth was drafted 46th overall in the 2006 draft by the Sabres.
