Matthews named to US roster for Worlds

Auston Matthews will face his first competition against NHLers at this year’s IIHF World Championship.
This year’s top draft prospect was the first player named to the US Men’s National team for the competition Thursday.
Matthews played this past year in the Swiss Elite League with the Zurich Lions, where he finished with 24 goals and 22 assists in 36 games, earning the league’s Rising Star Award.
