CHESTER, Pa. - Mexico has qualified for the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada after defeating Trinidad and Tobago 4-2 on Sunday at the CONCACAF Women's Championship.

Mexico is the 21st nation to qualify for the world tournament, with three more spots still available in the 24-team tournament.

Trinidad and Tobago will get one more shot at qualifying for the World Cup, with upcoming playoff matches against Ecuador on Nov. 8 and Dec. 2. The winner of the two-match CONCACAF-CONMEBOL playoff series will be the 24th and final team to clinch a spot.

Also, the United States won the continental title after a 6-0 victory over Costa Rica. Both U.S. and Costa Rica have already qualified for Canada 2015.

This marks the third time Mexico has qualified for the FIFA Women's World Cup, with previous appearances in 1999 in the U.S. and in Germany in 2011.

The other 18 countries to have already qualified include: Canada (host), Australia, Brazil, Cameroon, China, Colombia, Ivory Coast, England, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Nigeria, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Thailand.
