After blocking a shot late in the first period, Pittsburgh Penguins forward Patric Hornqvist left the game and did not return for the beginning of the second period in Game 2 against the Washington Capitals.

Hornqvist appeared to take the puck off his ankle and was in obvious pain.

The 30-year-old has been a key contributor so far in the playoffs for the Penguins, with two goals and five points in six games.
