The San Jose Sharks and Edmonton Oilers are among the teams interested in head coach Peter DeBoer, according to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger.

DeBoer was fired by the New Jersey Devils on Boxing Day 2014 after a slow start to the season. He led the Devils to the Stanley Cup final during his first season in New Jersey in 2011-12, but lost to the Los Angeles Kings.

The 46-year-old also spent three years coaching the Florida Panthers after an impressive time behind the bench of the OHL's Kitchener Rangers.
