The Florida Panthers have traded forward Brandon Pirri to the Anaheim Ducks for a sixth-round pick.

Pirri is currently out with an ankle injury that could sideline him for a couple more weeks.

After a stellar 2014-15 season when Pirri recorded 22 goals and two assists in 49 games, earning him the nickname Cy Young for the unbalanced totals, Pirri has struggled through injuries and inconsistent play this year.

Through 52 games, the former second-rounder has 11 goals and 13 assists.

The 24-year-old Pirri is a pending restricted free agent.
