Each night during the Stanley Cup Playoffs, former NHL goaltender Jamie McLennan provides his Post 2 Post rankings for every goaltender in action. Each goaltender will receive a score out of five based on their performance.

Lightning 2, Rangers 0

Ben Bishop - 5 – He was brilliant all night long. He had a good save early on St. Louis, showed he was dialed in right away, and had good rebound control all game with big saves on Miller, Nash and Hagelin. He was out of his crease and had no motion in his saves, allowing pucks to hit him and die. He responded to two tough outings with a statement game, and this is the third statement game of the playoffs so far, the other being Game 7 against Detroit and Game 6 vs Montreal.

Henrik Lundqvist - 4 – He was very aggressive on pucks, getting beat by Filllpula on the blocker side on a 3 on 2. He had no chance on the Stamkos goal but good saves on Stamkos and Kucherov (twice) in tight to keep the game close. With no goal support on the night, he can’t be faulted for this loss; it was Bishop’s night.
