CHICAGO - The Chicago White Sox and Kansas City Royals lost two games because of rain Saturday — the completion of a suspended game and Saturday's regular game.

A makeup date for Saturday's originally scheduled game has not been determined. The teams will resume their suspended game at 1:10 p.m. Sunday, followed by their regular game.

The Royals and White Sox were tied at 2 on Friday when the game was suspended because of rain entering the ninth inning. The game was called after a 40-minute delay. It will be resumed with the Royals batting in the top of the ninth.

David Robertson was warming up and had been announced to pitch for the White Sox in the suspended game. Chris Young was pitching for the Royals. John Danks (0-2, 6.06 ERA) is to start for the White Sox in the second game Sunday, with Edinson Volquez (2-1, 1.99 ERA) expected to go for the Royals.

Though no makeup date has been announced for Saturday's game, the Royals return to Chicago after the All-Star break on July 17-19 and Sept. 29-Oct. 1.
