The Detroit Red Wings have signed goaltender Petr Mrazek to a two-year eight million deal.

In the regular season, Mrazek posted a 2.33 goals against average and a save percentage of .921 while starting a career-high 49 games.

The Ostrava, Czech Republic native owns a career 2.29 GAA and a .920 save percentage in 94 games. His record stands at 46-30-8 with nine shutouts, four of which came last season.

The Red Wings also have goaltender Jimmy Howard under contract for each of the next three seasons at a cap hit of $5.292 million.
