The Toronto Blue Jays are one of five teams looking at free-agent starter Alex Cobb according to Jon Heyman of Fan Rag Sports.

The Baltimore Orioles, Chicago Cubs, New York Yankees, and Texas Rangers are the other four clubs, mentions Heyman.

Cobb posted a 12-10 record last year with a 3.66 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, and 128 strikeouts in 29 starts with the Tampa Bay Rays. During his six-year career with the Rays, the 30-year-old has compiled a 48-35 record with a 3.50 ERA.

The Boston-native would give the Blue Jays an experienced starting-five with veterans Marco Estrada, J.A. Happ, as well as Marcus Stroman and Aaron Sanchez

Toronto's rotation was 14th in team ERA (4.57) in 2017, slightly higher than the league average, but 25th in innings-pitched.
