The Toronto Blue Jays have interest in veteran Miami Marlins starter Mat Latos according to a report by Jon Morosi of Fox Sports.

In his first year with the Marlins, Latos is 4-6 with a 4.48 ERA in 15 starts with 74 strikeouts and 25 walks.

The 27-year-old was traded to the Marlins by the Cincinnati Reds last December and will be a free-agent at the end of the season.

Latos has spent three years with the Reds and three years with the Padres over his seven year MLB career.  He posted a career low 2.92 ERA with the Padres in 2010, his first full season in the league.
