Marner in, Rielly out for Canada at Worlds
Toronto Maple Leafs winger Mitch Marner will play for Team Canada at the World Hockey Championships next month. Marner's teammate Morgan Rielly will not join him for the tournament in France.

Toronto Maple Leafs winger Mitch Marner will play for Team Canada at the World Hockey Championships next month.
Marner's teammate Morgan Rielly will not join him for the tournament in France.
Marner is the first player from the Maple Leafs to accept an offer, Nikita Zaitsev (Russia), Auston Matthews (USA) and Frederik Andersen (Denmark) have all turned down invitations.
Marner, 19, played 77 games with the Maple Leafs during the regular season and all six of the team's playoff games. He scored 19 goals and added 42 assists in his rookie season.
He last played for Canada at the 2016 World Juniors, where Canada was eliminated in the quarter-finals.
Rielly, 23, scored six goals and added 21 assists in 76 games during the regular season. He scored one goal and added four assists in six playoff games.
Rielly played in 10 games with Canada at the tournament last year, scoring one goal and adding two assists as Canada won gold.
The tournament opens May 5.
