Centre Jiri Hudler has signed a one-year, $2 million deal with the Dallas Stars, according to Mark Stepneski of dallasstars.com.

Hudler, 32, scored 16 goals and tallied 46 points in 72 games with the Calgary Flames and Florida Panthers this past season. Hudler was traded by the Flames to the Panthers before the deadline for a pair of draft picks. He recorded a single assist over six playoffs contests as Florida was eliminated by the New York Islanders in the first round.

He was playing in the final of a four-year, $16 million deal.

The centre is a veteran of 676 NHL games and has scored 161 goals and 256 points across his career with the Detroit Red Wings, Flames and Panthers.

He was selected in the second round, 58th overall, of the 2002 NHL Draft by the Red Wings.

Hudler won the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy in 2014-15.
