Ottawa Senators forward Milan Michalek fractured a finger in Friday night's game against the New York Islanders and will be out indefinitely.

Michalek suffered the injury on his right hand, which he broke on December 1, forcing him to miss 16 games.

The 31-year-old winger has scored six goals and added four assists in 31 games this season, while averaging just over 17 minutes of ice time per night.

A veteran of 728 NHL games, Michalek has scored 206 goals and tallied 438 points in his career.
