Flame Out?

Flames forward Curtis Glencross has submitted a list of teams he'd be willing to be traded to before Mar. 2 and Randy Sportak of The Calgary Sun speculates which NHL teams could use him for the stretch run.

Sportak lists the Anaheim Ducks, Boston Bruins, Chicago Blackhawks, Montreal Canadiens, New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins and Tampa Bay Lightning as candidates that could be in the hunt for Glencross over the next week and a half.

Jets Still Shopping

TSN Radio 1290's Gary Lawless of The Winnipeg Free Press wrote Thursday that the Jets are looking for a top-nine forward and the Panthers could be a match because they're looking for depth on the blue line.

The Panthers have winger Sean Bergenheim up for grabs, while the Jets have defencemen Paul Postma, Jay Harrison and Adam Pardy available. Lawless adds that the Jets have been talking to the Toronto Maple Leafs about Daniel Winnik (for a second round pick and a prospect) and could also be interested in Blue Jackets forward Matt Calvert (for a third round pick). Lawless also reported that the Bruins were also interested in Bergenheim, with Matt Bartkowski as a possible candidate going the other way.

He Would If They Asked

As CSNNE.com's Joe Haggerty wrote on Thursday that Bruins defenceman Dennis Seidenberg has heard his name in trade rumours and would waive his no-trade clause if the team approached him with a deal and that deal made sense for both sides.

"People have mentioned those rumors to me, but all I can do at the end of the day is play hockey and work hard," Seidenberg told Haggerty. "That's what makes you strong. If they feel like they want to move me, then there's nothing I can do. Even if I have a no-trade clause, I don't want to be here if they don't want me.

"But my job is to play with full effort on the ice, and hopefully that's enough for them to want to keep me. We'll see."

Staying The Course In Sunrise

Florida Panthers head coach Gerard Gallant told CBS Radio Miami on Thursday that he didn't think the club - just a point out of the second wild card playoff berth - would part ways with any of their young talent to make a deal.

"I don't foresee that happening," he said. "We're staying the course. We're going to play our young guys, because our young guys are playing real well and they're a big part of our team.

"I'd be shocked if anything like that happens. You'd have to get an unbelievable offer, but we're planning on doing this for the long haul."
