TORONTO — Canada has dropped one place to No. 3 in the world women's rugby rankings.

England replaced the Canadians at No. 2 with New Zealand remaining No. 1. France and Ireland complete World Rugby's top five.

England moved up the rankings after defeating France 10-5 and Ireland 12-10.

Canada will have a chance to improve its ranking on its tour of England and Ireland this month. Canada plays Ireland on Saturday, New Zealand on Nov. 23 and England on Nov. 26.

England beat Canada 21-9 in the final of the 2014 Women's World Cup.

The Canadian men, beaten 52-21 by fourth-ranked Ireland in Dublin in Saturday, remained No. 18 in their rankings.

The men's top five was unchanged with New Zealand atop the rankings, followed by England, Australia, South Africa and Ireland. Wales and France move up one spot to No. 6 and No. 7.
