The New York Yankees have re-signed outfielder Chris Young to a contract for the 2015 season.

Young, 31, was signed by the Yankees as a minor league free agent on Aug. 27 and finished the 2014 campaign in the majors.

The Yankees confirmed the move via the team's official Twitter account.

In 23 games with the Yankees, Young hit .282 with three home runs and 10 runs batted-in.

Young has appeared in 1103 career MLB games with the Yankees, Arizona Diamondbacks and Oakland Athletics, posting a .234 career average with 155 home runs and 486 RBI.
