Even with Michael Bradley and Sebastian Giovinco out of Wednesday night's MLS All-Star Game, Toronto FC will be represented in Denver.

The league announced on Wednesday afternoon that TFC striker Jozy Altidore will take Giovinco's spot on the roster.

Altidore, 25, is in his first year with TFC after coming over from Sunderland in a swap deal that saw Jermain Defoe return the Barclays Premier League. The American international has eight goals in 16 appearances for the club and will mark his first MLS All-Star appearance.

Giovinco travelled to Denver with the intention of playing, but was ruled out with a heel injury. Reds captain Bradley was one of five players to be ruled out of the game on Tuesday.

The team of MLS All-Stars will take on Tottenham Hotspur from Dick's Sporting Goods Park, the home of the Colorado Rapids.
