The Colorado Avalanche signed forward Cody McLeod to a three-year contract extension on Monday.

According to TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun, the deal is worth $4 million, broken down into $1.5 million in 2015-16 season and $1.25 in each of the next two seasons.

McLeod scored five goals and added eight assists in 71 games with the Avalanche last season.

In 467 career games, McLeod has scored 50 goals and 91 points.

The 30-year-old signed a three-year, $3.45 million contract extension prior to the 2012-13 season.
