Blackhawks ink Kero to two-year extension

The Chicago Blackhawks announced a two-year extension for the 24-year-old forward on Friday. Terms of the deal were not announced.
A native of Hancock, Michigan, Kero has five goals and seven assists in 38 games this season for the team.
Signed as a free agent out of Michigan Tech in 2015, Kero was a 2015 Hobey Baker nominee and was named the Western Collegiate Hockey Association's Player of the Year.
In 55 career games over two seasons, Kero has six goals and nine assists.
