HULL, England - A deflected goal from Ki Sung-Yueng after 15 minutes was enough to give Swansea City a 1-0 victory against luckless Hull in a lacklustre Premier League clash at the KC Stadium.

Swansea scored when midfielder Jonjo Shelvey's long-range shot took a heavy deflection off the South Korean midfielder and flew beyond Hull goalkeeper Allan McGregor.

Hull threatened to equalize when Andrew Robertson drove against the crossbar, but the Swans survived and went on to squander further chances of their own, twice hitting the woodwork.

Victory provisionally lifts Swansea up to eighth in the league and leaves Hull, without a win in 10 games, second from bottom.
