Dallas Stars centre Cody Eakin has been suspended four games for charging New York Rangers netminder Henrik Lundqvist on Thursday night.

Lundqvist started in the New York net for the first time in six games, but left for 5:31 of the first period after Eakin hit him behind the net.

Eakin received a major penalty for charging and a game misconduct.

Lundqvist was replaced by Antti Raanta for 5:31 and returned to the game as the Rangers went on to beat the Stars 2-0.

This is the first suspension in the 25-year-old's six-season NHL career.
