The St. Louis Blues will be without forward Jaden Schwartz to start the season.

Blues general manager Doug Armstrong announced Friday Schwartz will be out for at least four weeks after injuring his elbow in practice Thursday.

Schwartz missed more than half the season last year with an ankle injury, finishing with eight goals and 14 assists in just 33 games.

For his career, the 24-year-old has 70 goals and 87 assists in 240 games. Schwartz signed a five-year, $26.75 million deal with the Blues this off-season.
