Carey Price is good to go.

That was the message from Montreal Canadiens goalie coach Stephane Waite to RDS.ca, who said Price wasn’t showing any signs of the knee injury that sidelined for much of last season after three days of practicing with the 28-year-old.

“I’m not a doctor, but all I know is that on the ice it was perfect,” Waite told RDS. “It is 100 percent restored. We are happy and our medical staff did a great job with him to bring him to the top. It is no longer a concern, he is ready to go.”

Waite told RDS the training he did with Price was intense and said he believed Price can now move on from the injury.

Price’s first action back should come with Team Canada in the World Cup of Hockey in September. The fifth overall pick in the 2005 Draft was named to Canada’s initial 16-player roster last season despite being injured at the time.

Prior to his injury woes last year, Price had a 10-2 record with the Habs and sported a 2.06 goals against average and .934 save percentage.
