Bibeau's ascent to the big club is a direct result of James Reimer's struggles with a lower-body injury incurred in practice on November 24. He missed the team's next three games, but returned on Thursday night in a 1-0 loss to the Minnesota Wild. Reimer made 27 saves in the loss.

"Obviously, when you come back there’s some aches and pains and stuff, but I was able to get through the game and felt like I could do most everything," Reimer said after Thursday's game.

Reimer is officially listed by the team as day-to-day.

The 21-year-old Bibeau was taken in the sixth round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft out of the Prince Edward Island Rocket of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

A native of Victoriaville, Quebec, Bibeau is in his second professional season, both spent with the Marlies. He is 6-3-0 in 10 appearances with a 3.64 goals against average and a .869 save percentage.

Bibeau joins Reimer and Garret Sparks, called up last week from the Marlies, on the big club. Jonathan Bernier is currently with the Marlies on a conditioning stint.

Clune, 28, has appeared in two games with the Leafs this season. He's already played in 15 games with the Marlies where he has two goals and four assists.

The Leafs are 8-13-5 and in the basement of the Atlantic Division. They are next in action on Saturday night when they visit the St. Louis Blues.
