MANCHESTER, England — Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany is facing another injury layoff after hurting his groin in his first game back in more than four months.

Kompany felt pain late in City's 2-1 win at Swansea in the English League Cup on Wednesday and left the field moments before fulltime.

City said Friday there is no date set for a return for the Belgium centre back.

The good news for Kompany is that the new injury is not connected to the recurring calf problems that blighted his 2015-16 season.
