New Colours:  Dion Phaneuf made his Ottawa debut last night as the Senators dropped a 3-1 decision to the Red Wings in Detroit. Phaneuf registered nearly 22 minutes of ice time and was minus-1. In Arizona, Jake Virtanen and Jannik Hansen scored as the Canucks outlasted the Coyotes 2-1.

Wolf Attack:  Karl-Anthony Towns scored 35 points and Andrew Wiggins added 26 as the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Toronto Raptors 117-112 last night. The loss sends the Raptors to the All-Star break with a record of 35-17, second in the Eastern Conference. The club now has eight days off before facing the Chicago Bulls next Friday.

Mamba vs. The King:  Kobe Bryant and LeBron James faced off in Cleveland with the Cavs coming out on top 120-111. Bryant scored 17 points and was given a standing ovation when checked out of the game. James scored 29, while teammate Kevin Love left the game after re-injuring his surgically repaired left shoulder in the first half. Bryant and James will meet again Sunday as starters in the All-Star Game in Toronto.
