Milos Raonic will not be playing the French Open, which begins May 24.

The Canadian tennis star announced the news on Twitter.

“I am sad to have to unfortunately withdraw from Roland Garros this year. I tried my best to be back and healthy in time after surgery,” Raonic tweeted.

“I will continue my rehab and procceed with preparations for a 100 percent strong Wimbledon and Queens run.Thank you for the love and support.”

Raonic underwent foot surgery earlier this month. His manager told TSN he is about five days behind where he wants to be recovering from surgery.

Raonic is currently ranked sixth in the world.
