According to SI.com, muliple sources say it's a 'done deal' that the FIFA 2022 World Cup in Qatar will take place in November and December, rather than in the traditional summer months of June and July.

SI's website reported Wednesday that a FIFA task force will meet in Doha next week to make the recommendation and FIFA's Executive Committee is expected to make the decision final at its meeting in Zurich in March.

Since being awarded the 2022 World Cup in 2010, there have been concerns that Qatar's extremely hot climate during summer months would affect the health of the players and spectators - prompting the suggestion of moving the event to the Fall or Winter when it's more tolerable.

SI.com adds that the re-scheduling would affect just one European club season, but there's no word on how it may affect that Confederations Cup the year before.
