According to WGRZ news in Buffalo, lawyers for the alleged sexual assualt victim of Patrick Kane will hold a news conference on Wednesday at 1pm et.

The news conference will be held at the Cornell Mansion law offices in Buffalo.

Hamburg Police Chief Gregory Wickett confirmed in August that an incident may have happened at Kane's home outside of Buffalo on Aug. 2.

The Chicago Blackhawks star has not been charged with a crime.

Kane spoke about the police investigation for the first time last week at Blackhawks' training camp.

"I cannot apologize enough for the distraction this has caused my family, teammates, this incredible organization and, of course, our fans," said Kane, who was joined at a table by Blackhawks President John McDonough, general manager Stan Bowman and coach Joel Quenneville. "While I have too much respect for the legal process to comment on an ongoing matter, I am confident once all the facts are brought to light I will be absolved of having done (anything) wrong."
