ACCRA, Ghana - Ghana's sports minister says his country will not step in at short notice as host of the 2015 African Cup of Nations, the fourth nation to rule itself out of contention to replace Morocco.

Morocco has asked the Confederation of African Football to postpone the African Cup from early next year to 2016 because of the Ebola outbreak, and the possible threat of spreading the disease.

CAF, which will meet Tuesday to discuss the issue, has insisted the tournament must go ahead from Jan. 17-Feb. 8.

Ghana was one of the countries approached by CAF as a possible replacement, but sports minister Mahama Ayariga says it was "not in position" to host after the government considered advice from health authorities over Ebola.

South Africa, Sudan and Egypt have also declined to stage the 16-team tournament.
