It was a rematch of last year's Scotties Tournament of Hearts final. And once again, Team Homan emerged as the victor with the reigning national champions defeating Team Sweeting at the Pinty's All-Star Curling Skins Game Friday night in the tournament's opening draw at The Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre in beautiful Banff National Park.

In total, Team Homan won four skins to earn $11,000 in prize money. Team Sweeting will take home $10,000 after winning four skins, including a draw to the button.

Team Sweeting took the early lead, winning the first skin worth $2,000 in the second end following a carry-over in the first. The third end saw skip Rachel Homan's slash runback go wide, and Team Sweeting would pick up another skin to boost its earnings to $3,500.

Team Homan would get on the board in the 4th end, picking up their first skin worth $1,500 and sparking a comeback in the 5th and 6th ends. A second skin in the 5th end would bolster Team Homan's tally to $3,500 and tie the score.

In the 6th end, Team Homan picked up their third skin – and took the lead with $6,500 going into the 7th end. The team would guarantee their spot in the final with a steal worth $4,500 in the 7th for a total of $11,000.

With the game already decided, Team Sweeting would force a draw to the button in the 8th end and then put it on the pin to take the final skin worth $6,500. Final result: Team Homan, $11,000; Team Sweeting, $10,000.

Team Homan will face off against the winner of Team Jones vs. Team Carey in the Women's Final on Sunday at 3pm et/11am pt live on TSN1, TSN3, TSN4 and TSN5. The men's action begins Saturday morning as Team Morris takes on Team Koe at 11am et/8am pt on TSN1, TSN3, TSN4 and TSN5.
