Team Canada's coaching staff for the 2016 World Cup continues to take shape ahead of Thursday's official announcement.

According to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger, Washington Capitals head coach Barry Trotz will be named an assistant on Mike Babcock's staff.

Dreger reported on Tuesday that Chicago's Joel Quenneville and Boston's Claude Julien will also be assistants to the Maple Leafs' bench boss.

Dreger tweeted that it's likely that a fifth coach will be named as well on Thursday.

The tournament takes place next September in Toronto.
