Brazilian defender Rafael's time with Manchester United has come to a close.

United confirmed that the 25-year-old is set to sign a four-year deal with French club Olympique Lyonnais.

Rafael originally signed with United in 2007 alongside twin brother Fabio. Over portions of seven seasons with United, Rafael scored five goals in 109 Premier League appearances. He made 170 total appearances for United in the Premiership, League Cup, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League competitions.

He won three Premier League titles with United as well as the 2010 League Cup and 2008 FIFA Club World Cup.
