Rookie Juraj Slafkovsky is skating on the top line with captain Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield ahead of tonight's preseason matchup against the Ottawa Senators. The 2022 No. 1 overall pick had an assist and four shots in Monday's 5-1 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Suzuki makes his preseason debut after recovering from a lower-body injury. The 23-year-old signed an eight-year, $63 million extension last October and tallied 21 goals and 40 helpers in 82 games last season.
The team also made seven cuts on Tuesday, assigning Filip Mesar and Mattias Norlinder to the AHL's Laval Rocket. Alex Belzile, Anthony Richard and Mitchell Stephens have been placed on waivers and Kevin Poulin and Xavier Simoneau have been released from training camp and will join Laval's camp.

The Canucks have released defenceman Danny DeKeyser from his professional try out.
John Stevens, Noah Juulsen, Brady Keeper, Guillaume Brisebois and Collin Delia have been placed on waivers to be assigned to the AHL's Abbotsford Canucks.
Tristen Nielsen has been released from his PTO and will join Abbotsford.
Arturs Silovs, Arshdeep Bains, Wyatt Kalynuk, Danila Klimovich, William Lockwood and Michael Dipietro have been assigned to the AHL.
