SEATTLE — Hands up if you had the Seattle Kraken dominating Pacific Division rivals or going undefeated in the NHL pre-season.

The surprising Kraken posted their fourth consecutive win, and second in a row against Vancouver, by dumping the Canucks 4-0 at Climate Pledge Arena on Saturday.

Yanni Gourde had two goals for Seattle, while Matty Beniers and Alex Wennberg added singles for the Kraken, who erased a 3-1 deficit on Thursday in Vancouver to beat the Canucks 4-3 in overtime.

Saturday's game was scoreless after the first period and the Kraken took a 1-0 lead into the third.

Philipp Grubauer recorded the shutout as Seattle outshot Vancouver 26-17.

The Kraken also blanked Edmonton and Calgary by 3-0 scores last week in Seattle. So, if you're keeping tabs on the Kraken, that's three shutouts in four games, and they've outscored their opposition 14-3. The Kraken have yet to surrender a goal in Seattle, where last season they had trouble winning. Seattle plays in Calgary on Monday.

The Canucks, who lost two split squad games to Calgary on Sept. 25, have not won in the pre-season. They will play the Oilers on Monday in Edmonton and again Wednesday in Abbotsford, B.C.
