Caps sign Haman Aktell to one-year ELC

The Washington Capitals announced the signing of defenceman Hardy Haman Aktell to a one-year, two-way, entry-level contract on Thursday.
Haman Aktell, 24, was a fourth-round selection of the Nashville Predators in 2016.
A native of Kage, Sweden, Haman Aktell spent the past three seasons with the Vaxjo Lakers of the Swedish Hockey League. He appeared in 51 games this past season, scoring nine goals and 27 assists.
Haman Aktell appeared in 18 playoff games at the Lakers captured the Le Mat Trophy as the SHL champions.
