BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Adam Brooks scored 2:38 into overtime to power the Toronto Marlies past the Bridgeport Sound Tigers 2-1 on Wednesday in American Hockey League action.

Brooks also assisted on Dmytro Timashov's third-period goal for the Marlies (35-21-10), the AHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Michael Hutchinson made 30 saves for the win.

Sebastian Aho was the lone scorer for Bridgeport (37-20-8) as Jeremy Smith stopped 25 shots.

The Marlies went 1 for 2 on the power play and the Sound Tigers couldn't connect on their five man advantages.
